Entrepreneurs are not born, they are made

Economy is the first victim of Covid-19. According to United Nations end of 2021 data, Covid-19 Pandemic has caused the loss of 255 million full-time jobs – 4 times the number of the lost jobs during the financial crisis of 2007-2009.

But it won’t stop there. The iceball effect will trigger every thing down. Still, the implications of this effect have bad news and good news. The bad news is that most people are not prepared for this new world of entrepreneurship, or what the founder of the Facebook Mark Zuckerberg sums the context we are in by saying: “Now we’re all entrepreneurial whether we’re starting projects or finding our role… our culture of entrepreneurship is how we create so much progress.”

Now, the good news is we are all entrepreneurs by design but society has conditioned us into the belief that entrepreneurs are born not made. And this is a big lie – BIG TIME!

Truth is: entrepreneurs are made not born. They are made by themselves; learning from their failures and setbacks. When you reverse engineer the most important reason behind each thriving entrepreneur’s success, you will find one unmistaken commonality among them all, and that is: they set the foundation of running their business right.

For any aspiring entrepreneur who visions himself as a thriving entrepreneur, he got to get guidance from a reliable source – someone who already walks the path of entrepreneurship. That’s how I come in with my mentoring sessions. It’s a one-to-one zoom session. It’s actually 2 sessions. The first 40-minute session is a briefing and introductory session where you feed me with answers about where do you stand in terms of the validity of your idea, the uniqueness of your value proposition, the strength of your market needs and other relevant stuff; and, more importantly, your goals in 2023 and beyond.

In our second 40-minute session, I will provide you with the strategy to get to your goals. To plant the seeds of organic, profitable and sustainable growth for your business for years to come, a strategic direction provided with a mentor is a must in these unstable and confused times. The second session is delivered 7 days after the first briefing session.

2 sessions fee: $39.00

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Is Mentoring different from Coaching?
Yes, absolutely! a coach is rather a short-term catalyst who gets you to a particular goal. The Mentor, on the other hand, is an adviser who is more into helping you set up a framework for your business that extends for years down the road. For an aspiring entrepreneur, the mentor’s role is more relevant as branding and strategy are concerned.
The stage you are in dictates who’s to choose between the coach and mentor. If you are in the pre-incubation phase of your enterprise where you need to understand whether your idea is viable, sustainable, and scalable, having a mentor is key. In the second phase of your enterprise; that is, the incubation phase, where you produce your Minimum viable product, coaching and mentoring are equally important. The coach at this phase pushes, motivates, and enhances your capabilities on a daily basis whereas the mentor is looking at the big picture and making sure you are in the right direction and sticking to the strategic move.
In the third stage of your phase; that is, the acceleration phase, you are now on your own. You now know how to stand out and build your empire. The role of a mentor is still needed to look ahead. But, in most cases, the mentor that helps you in this advanced stage of your journey will be different from the one you started with.
