Two Essential Steps to Surround Yourself With Smarter People

Tell me who you surround yourself up with and I will tell you who you will become. Spend time with 6 broke people, and guess what? You are definitely going to be No.7. While hanging around with 6 highly experienced and knowledgeable people and you will most likely going to be No.7. The circle I am suggesting is one that has one shared belief system with complementary viewpoints that help you be the best that you can be.

The first step to become the best is to challenge your FEARS. We fear changing our status Que. We gravitate towards our comfort zone. We feel secure to spend time with those who are just like us. But nothing grows in such complacency. It is through others’ feedback that you can gain a better understanding of yourself. Upon such knowledge you can safely work on improving yourself.

The second step to attract a smarter people is to do a lot of research to reach them. Look around you and study your environment in order to locate where to find out smarter people. Where do they hang out; the places they frequently visit and like. Upon locating their whereabouts, have the guts to introduce yourself. Finding a way to connect with smarter individuals is dependent on the research you embark on.

Ogilvy Advertising agency was founded in 1948. It was based on a single premise that was propagated by its founder David Ogilvy.
